Description

A 205 W rigid monocrystalline panel, available as an 18 V or a 36 V version. Glass and aluminium frame construction — the long-life choice where the roof is flat and weight is not critical. Which voltage you need depends on the battery bank, not on the panel. Tell us the system voltage with your enquiry and we will supply the matching version.

Key points

  • Two versions, one part number. 18 V (1460 × 660 mm) for 12 V battery systems; 36 V (1475 × 660 mm) where the bank is 24 V or the controller wants more input voltage. We specify it from your battery, not from a catalogue default.
  • 20-busbar cells. The upgraded cell format — at the same output it packs into a smaller panel than the older 16-busbar version, which matters on a roof where every centimetre is spoken for.
  • Rigid, not flexible — runs cooler, does not yellow, does not delaminate. Needs a flat mounting area and proper brackets; not for a curved van roof.
  • Longer service life than a flexible laminate — the honest reason to choose rigid.

18 V or 36 V — how to choose

Match the panel to the battery bank: a 12 V bank takes the 18 V version; a 24 V bank takes the 36 V version. With an MPPT controller the higher-voltage panel also gives the controller more headroom to work with on dull mornings. If you are unsure, send us the battery voltage and the controller model — we will specify it rather than let you find out after the container ships.

Best for

Caravans and motorhomes with flat roof sections, and installers who want the voltage matched to the bank rather than guessed.
