Description
A 1000 W pure sine wave inverter — clean mains output, suitable for anything the customer plugs into it. Pure sine wave produces the same waveform as the grid, so motors run at their rated speed and temperature, electronics behave, and medical equipment such as a CPAP machine works as designed. It costs more than modified sine wave, and it is the correct answer in almost every RV. Sized to pair with a 100 Ah LiFePO4 bank and our 200 W kit.
Key points
- Runs everything. Compressor fridges, microwaves, laptops, chargers, CPAP machines, induction on the larger model — no waveform caveats to explain to the end customer.
- 1000 W continuous. Size on start-up draw, not running draw: a compressor or a power tool can pull several times its rated current on start-up.
- Wants a battery bank that can feed it. At 1000 W the DC-side current is substantial, so cable gauge and battery discharge rating both have to be checked — we will do that with you.
- Pairs with our LiFePO4 batteries and with the MPPT-based kits.
Specifications
| Model | TE-IV1000-PS220 — 220 V output TE-IV1000-PS110 — 110 V output (North America) |
| Waveform | Pure sine wave |
| Continuous output | 1000 W continuous — rated, not peak. Our model number quotes the continuous figure. The factory’s own model number for this unit is 2000 W, which is its peak. We do not print a peak number on the box and let it pass for the rating. |
| No-load draw | < 12 W |
| Input voltage | 12 V DC (24 V and 48 V to order) |
| Output voltage | 220 V AC or 110 V AC — tell us which when you enquire. The 110 V build is for North America; the 220 V build for markets on that standard. Each has its own order code (see Model above). A 230 V build for European supply is still being confirmed with the factory. |
| Efficiency | ≥ 90% |
| Dimensions | 258 × 120 × 55 mm |
| Weight | 1.98 kg |
| Cooling | Thermostatic fan, cuts in above 45 °C |
| Protection | Over-temperature, overload, short circuit, high and low voltage, auto-recovery, audible alarm |
| Supplied with | Battery leads with crocodile clips |
| Warranty | 1 year |
Sizing it properly
The mistake we see is sizing the inverter to the appliance and forgetting the battery. A large inverter on a small bank will trip on low voltage under load, and the customer will blame the inverter. Send us the appliance list and the battery capacity and we will tell you whether the combination works before you order it.
Specification and socket standard
Externally sourced; the full data sheet is being confirmed with the factory and we will send it on request rather than publish unverified figures. Output socket standard is a build option — tell us the destination market and we will confirm what the factory supplies. Request the specification.
Best for
Any build where the end customer expects a mains socket to behave like a mains socket — which is most of them.
Price on request. Send us the quantity and destination country and we will quote — request a quotation.
