Description
500 W pure sine wave inverter. The step between a small modified-wave unit and a 1000 W inverter. Pure sine wave matters for anything with a motor, a compressor or sensitive electronics in it.
Key points
- Pure sine wave — modified wave runs motors hot and upsets some electronics.
- 500 W continuous — laptops, small appliances, tool chargers.
- Check your battery can supply it — 500 W at 12 V is over 40 A. We will check the pairing.
Specifications
| Model | TE-IV500-PS220 — 220 V output TE-IV500-PS110 — 110 V output (North America) |
| Waveform | Pure sine wave |
| Continuous output | 500 W continuous — rated, not peak. Our model number quotes the continuous figure. The factory’s own model number for this unit is 1000 W, which is its peak. We do not print a peak number on the box and let it pass for the rating. |
| No-load draw | < 12 W |
| Input voltage | 12 V DC (24 V and 48 V to order) |
| Output voltage | 220 V AC or 110 V AC — tell us which when you enquire. The 110 V build is for North America; the 220 V build for markets on that standard. Each has its own order code (see Model above). A 230 V build for European supply is still being confirmed with the factory. |
