Description
20 A PWM controller — the same approach as the 10 A, with headroom for a larger array. Suits panels up to roughly 200-250 W on a 12 V system. Still PWM, so the same trade-off applies: simple and inexpensive, but it drags the panel down to battery voltage and discards the difference.
Key points
- 20 A charge and discharge — enough for a 200 W class array on 12 V.
- Lithium and lead-acid compatible — AGM, gel, flooded and LiFePO4.
- Consider MPPT at this size — around 200 W is where MPPT starts to earn its cost back, especially in cold, bright conditions. We would rather tell you that now.
- LCD display, USB output, IP30 — mount it somewhere with airflow.
